About the speaker:
Alf Pryor has been kelp farming for six years and is considered one of the leading kelp farmers in Alaska. In addition to operating Alaska Ocean Farms, Alf is a passionate educator and has presented at numerous industry and public conferences and at beginning kelp farmer workshops. He is an active innovator in increasing kelp farming efficiencies as demonstrated by his partnerships with government agencies and private industry. He also partners and works with processors on quality control of kelp after harvest and during transport.

Alaska Ocean Farms LLC, we're a family-owned and operated kelp farming company in Kodiak Alaska. We lease 100 acres for kelp farming and will be adding an additional 40 acres for growing Pacific oysters in 2024.
