Recognizing the need for sophisticated government and public affairs services in the community she holds dear, Emily founded ESP Advisors in 2020 with a mission to elevate ocean and environmental priorities. Utilizing her advocacy experience and deep understanding of environmental science, Emily leads the firm in all its endeavors.

Prior to starting ESP, Emily worked with Congress, most recently as staff on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and in the private sector, leading technology and sustainability programming and advocating for strategic policies in the United States and internationally.

Emily received her Master’s in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island and her Bachelor's in Environmental Science from the University of Delaware.

ESP Advisors is a U.S. federal policy consulting firm focused on ocean and coastal priorities, with clients spanning aquaculture, marine energy, natural resources, coastal resilience, ocean observing, and other areas. They work with both Democrat and Republican congressional offices, the White House, federal agencies, and other key government officials to elevate these issues, provide education/cultivate champions, and foster collaboration across the political spectrum. This work involves a wide range of activities, including advocating for increased funding, providing input and guidance on (or drafting) legislation, tracking and analyzing important bills and congressional hearings, meeting with congressional staff, and more.
