Caroline is an environmental economist with a background in marine biology and atmospheric-oceanic sciences. During her time at Propeller, she has focused on evaluating investment opportunities in the budding ocean-climate tech sector, and is particularly interested in early stage startups utilizing macro and microalgae in various business applications. Prior to graduate school and her time at Propeller, Caroline has spent time doing macro algae research, coral reef behavioral ecology research, and working at both a climate tech startup and NGO.

Propeller invests across three ocean verticals: organics, carbon and industrials, with a focus on pre-seed/seed stage companies, and also works commercializing technology out of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI) and other leading marine science institutions.
