Jason is an operations management executive, entrepreneur, and consultant with a passion for leading in complex environments.  Most recently, Jason is President and Co-Founder of Norfolk Green Ventures (NGV), an investment company focused on helping the seaweed industry reach its potential.  Jason is also Principal Consultant and Founder of Steamboat Road Consulting, an operations management consulting firm offering services to improve and integrate people, processes, and technology in manufacturing, maritime and aquaculture industries.  

Jason’s primary background is in leading multi-billion-dollar, multi-year projects, involving thousands of personnel for naval ship construction and repair.  Jason also has experience with the development of large commercial land-based, recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), in the U.S. and in Europe.  While President & Chief Operating Officer at Whole Oceans, Jason was responsible for the first commercial-scale fully permitted land-based aquaculture permit for Salmon in Maine.  Among Jason’s many entrepreneurial endeavors, he served as Co-Founder and CFO of Helm’s Brewing Company (since re-branded to Two Roots Brewing Co.) in San Diego, California with a successful exit in 2017.

Jason is currently an Adjunct Professor of Project Management, at Northeastern University Roux, in Portland, Maine.  Jason earned an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a Master of Science in Business Administration in Production & Operations Management from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.   Jason also has a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
